Add Projects (Batch Import)

To add multiple projects to your account in Client Feedback Tool (CFT) at one-time, you can do so via the import process. Please follow the steps below:

 

Notes: 

Upload this file third to define project details. This file can also be re-uploaded if updates or additions are needed.

Order of Upload

  1. Users – Upload first to ensure senders are in CFT.

  2. Contacts – Upload second to add survey recipients.

  3. Projects – Upload third to define project details.

  4. Batch File – Upload last to launch the survey. Upload only once to avoid duplicates.

 

  1. From the modern dashboard, use the left-hand navigation panel to select Settings, then click Projects to open the Projects page. This will take you to the legacy side of the tool.
  2. Under the Projects management window, select Batch Import.
  3. Next, download the Project Import Template file.
    1. Click Template, followed by the Get Template Download button. This action will initiate the automatic download of the Project Import Template file to your device.

  4. When the Project Import Template file opens, you will want to enter data in the following required fields:
    1. Project Number (Column A)
    2. Project Name (Column B)
    3. Project Groups (Column C)
    4. Duplicates (Column M):
      1. Choose how CFT should handle duplicate projects when importing:
        1. Ignore Duplicates – Skips matching projects and keeps existing information.
        2. Merge Duplicates – Combines new project details with what’s already in CFT.
        3. Replace Duplicates – Replaces existing project information with data from your file.
  5. (Optional) The Project Import file also allows you to assign a different datasets right from the import file.
    1. Project Types
    2. Project Manager Emails
    3. Company Number
    4. Company Name
    5. Company Type
  6. After entering the project data, save the template to your device. Navigate back to the User Management window in CFT, select Batch Setup, and proceed to select Upload.
  7. In the Upload Batch Template pop-up window, click the Select File button. This action will allow you to choose the Project Import file that you saved.
  8. Once the file has been uploaded successfully, click Read.
  9. This screen allows you to review the data being uploaded. Carefully review all data fields to ensure accuracy.
  10. Check the Summary of Project Import box in the lower right-hand corner to confirm that the total number displayed matches the total number of contacts you are trying to create or upload.
  11. When review is complete, select Import. This will prompt another screen to appear. Click Import

  12. (Optional) After your template has been successfully imported, you can review the Status Box located in the lower left-hand corner.
    1. You may also select “View Detailed Log” to generate an Excel file that lists all processed records, including both successful and unsuccessful entries.
